The Future Is No-Code is an eBook and Video Mini Series created in 2020, a pivotal moment as the no-code movement was rapidly gaining popularity. Sparked by frequent questions about the future of no-code and its impact on software creation, I set out to capture insights from industry leaders on what a world with accessible app-building could look like.
After reaching out to around 15 experts, from startup founders to CEOs of companies like Zapier and Webflow, I conducted and recorded interviews, comparing their answers on topics like future predictions. We released new content every few days to build excitement, culminating in the full eBook’s launch.
I led this project from start to finish, including designing unique branding that aligned with Adalo yet felt distinct for this series. Working closely with our Director of Marketing, I reached out to experts, conducted and recorded interviews, edited their responses, and designed a dedicated website to showcase each release. Together, we coordinated the project’s launch schedule and developed a gradual content rollout strategy to build excitement and engagement around the insights shared by industry leaders.
This was an incredibly fun project to work on—not only did I get the chance to speak with a variety of industry experts, but I also gained valuable experience in website design, content creation, and interviewing. It was a rewarding blend of creative and professional growth, allowing me to expand my skills while diving deep into the no-code world.
The branding for The Future Is No-Code took inspiration from Adalo’s color palette but with a twist — flipping the primary and secondary colors to give gold prominence over teal, creating a fresh yet familiar feel. I incorporated drag-and-drop metaphors throughout the visuals and animations, reinforcing the hands-on essence of no-code. To create a clean, modern experience for reading the content, I stripped away extra UI elements, giving it a streamlined, book-like look that encouraged focus and immersion.
I created an intro teaser video to promote The Future Is No-Code, combining standout quotes from various interviews into a single, compelling preview. The video highlighted how this eBook would be different, allowing readers to dive into individual interviews or compare expert responses to specific questions for a unique perspective on no-code’s future. Produced in Premiere Pro, the teaser set the stage for a dynamic, flexible reading experience.
The website’s design was crucial in creating an engaging, standout experience that rose above typical online content. The navigation UX was especially important, allowing readers to move seamlessly between questions and interviews on both desktop and mobile. I crafted a clean, minimalist layout to enhance readability, with embedded videos for those who preferred to watch the interviews instead of reading. This approach made The Future Is No-Code feel accessible and dynamic, catering to different learning preferences in a cohesive experience.
For the conclusions page, I aimed to create the feel of an interactive report, packed with charts and visuals that brought key insights to life. This page served as a central hub, consolidating all the information and conclusions in a visually engaging format. By playing with creative visuals and data representations, I was able to present the findings in a fun, accessible way that encouraged exploration and discovery.
